Product Description

Bells of Ireland (Molucella laevis) is able to grow outdoors at all times that produces unusual pale green to emerald green, funnel shaped “bells” along green stems. The papery bells are densely packed along most of the length of the square stems that can reach up to one meter (3.3 ft.) in height. Clusters of 6.5 cm (2.5 in.) long leaves alternate between the bells, with pairs of small thorns or spines below each calyx.

Culture Guidelines
Primary Uses: Cuttings, bedding, borders, and as a filler in dry arrangements 

Seeding: Bells of Ireland can be direct seeded at approximately 9 cm (3.5 in.) intervals.

Temperatures: Warmer temperatures are preferable for good, vibrant growth. Optimal temperature range is 15-45°C (60 -110°F). The plant will not grow well in hot, humid climates in the summer.

Light: Prefers full sun.
Irrigation: Water regularly to keep soil moist.
Fertilization: Reacts favorably to fertilizer application.
Soil: Can grow in most soil types. Good drainage is a pre-requisite.
